Membership at Lee Valley Golf & Country Club

Become a member at one of Cork’s premier Golf & Country Clubs.

There are many benefits to being a member of a golf club, and membership at Lee Valley Golf & Country Club is unique in the sense that it offers a strong sense of camaraderie, and is a vibrant social outlet as well as a fabulous golf course to play.  The course itself was designed by Christy O’Connor Jr., who also designed Fota Island’s Deerpark course.  The course is challenging in  the sense that every hole is different.  The greens are fast and the scenery is spectacular.  Our members affectionately call the bar ‘The GluePot’ because people come for one pint and end up staying for hours, having a laugh and a good time.

Golf

• Dedicated Members Tee times each day.
• Full access throughout the year to a beautifully kept, superbly manicured golf course with fast greens and stunning views on every hole.
• Short-range practice facilities for members
• Participation in Club competitions.  Member competitions are held 6 days a week so there are plenty of opportunities to up your game, vie for great prizes and enjoy golf with friends new and old.
• Golf on tap – you can play whenever you want and as many holes as you feel like playing.  Perhaps it’s a summer evening and you’d like to play just a couple holes after work.  Or you have a busy day but would like to get out on the course for just a few holes to clear your head.  As a member you can play as many or as few holes as you like, as often as you like!
• Full use of Club facilities, including locker rooms, showers and members bar.
• Introduce your kids to the game with our Cadet Membership – your kids play free after completing a series of lessons with our golf pro, as long as they accompany you.  It’s a fantastic way to spend quality time with your kids!
• Lee Valley has an excellent location – only 15 minutes from Cork City Centre yet with panoramic views that make you feel like you’ve really gotten away.
• Being a member will motivate you to play more golf!  You are more likely to get out and play golf on a regular basis when you are a member of a club.

Financial

• GUI card credit facility where members get discounts on drink products purchased at Lee Valley.
• Pay by direct debit over 12 months for €100 / month
• If you choose to pay once off for the year, there are a number of incentives to sweeten the deal!
• Bring your friends, colleagues and clients to play golf at a discounted member-guest rate
• Discounted rate for short term rental of Lee Valley Holiday Cottages.
• A joining fee may be applicable.

Health

• Golf is good for your physical and mental well-being.
• Golfers live on average 5 years longer than non-golfers!  One major study showed that playing golf helps prevent 40 major chronic diseases.
• In addition to walking, the golf swing itself exercises the entire body including arms, legs, back and abs.  Golf is l ow impact so doesn’t stress or strain your joints.

Application

• Each applicant must complete an application form, which must be submitted to Lee Valley Golf & Country Club.
• Applications must be approved by the relevant members and committee of the Club.
